VPN（Virtual Private Network） : 虛擬專網指依靠ISP和其他NSP（網絡服務提供者）在公用網絡建立專用的數(shù)據(jù)通信網絡。AON （All Optical Network） : 全光網絡指信號僅在進出網絡時才進行電/光和光/電的變換，而在網絡中傳輸和交換的過程中始終以光的形式存在。

FR（Frame Relay） : 幀中繼它是在數(shù)據(jù)發(fā)送到數(shù)據(jù)鏈路層后，以幀為單位進行傳送，傳送時不作分組的重發(fā)處理，大大簡化了處理的過程、提高了效率。

SR（Software Radio） : 軟件無線電是用寬帶無線接收機來代替原來的窄帶接收機，同時把電臺的功能盡可能多地采用軟件來實現(xiàn)。

WDM（Wavelength-Division Multiplexing） : 波分復用光纖傳輸技術，是在一根光纖上使用不同的波長傳輸多種光信號。

DWDM（Dense Wavelength-Division Multiplexing） : 密集波分復用

EDA（Electronic Design Automation） : 電子設計自動化

HAD（High Density Architectures ） : 高密度結構

ATM（Asynchronous Transfer Mode） : 異步轉移模式。將話音、圖像、數(shù)據(jù)、視頻等多種業(yè)務數(shù)字化后轉換成長度相同的分組（信元），包括信息域和元頭，根據(jù)元頭的信息進行傳送。
